• Clear notes describing condition, action, result, and remaining work

Stop and escalate when

• The task exceeds qualification, approved scope, or safe working conditions.
• Required energy control, access, permits, equipment, or support are unavailable.
• The observed condition conflicts with drawings, instructions, or the expected system state.

Completion standard
