• Work and testing follow company and manufacturer procedures.
• Changes, options, exclusions, and authorization are documented.
• Final operation, cleanup, customer review, and office handoff are complete.

Evidence to retain

• Identification and context photos
• Relevant before-and-after readings
• Material, serial, model, and quantity records
• Customer approval, acknowledgment, or signature when required
• Clear notes describing condition, action, result, and remaining work

Stop and escalate when

• The task exceeds qualification, approved scope, or safe working conditions.
• Required energy control, access, permits, equipment, or support are unavailable.
• The observed condition conflicts with drawings, instructions, or the expected system state.

Completion standard

A completed estimate authorization checklist should allow another qualified person to understand what was checked, what was found, what was done, and what must happen next.
